Sukari is based on my first bird I ever owned;
She was a very comical little lovebird. She was loud, playful and loved to cuddle. Because I don't own my birds anymore, I wanted to make a piece based on my little bird, and the impact she has left on my life.

Sukari means Sugar in Swahili. I named her this because she was a sweet and happy lovebird from the moment I held her in my hands for the first time.

The figure would be about 6'' tall, and might possibly need a base. I will design a base, either way, but the figure would be held on with a peg in the base and can be removed.

I had a Gerbil I named Sukari. He passed on last school year and I really miss him. I'm touched by what your doing to remember your lovebird.
